A child is a child.

  • I am the loving dad,
  • I am the affectionate mother.
  • We all belong to the new generation.
  • What we did not get
  • From our parents in a big family,
  • We wanted to give our only son
  • At the young age of seven.
  • Whatever he  likes,
  • Whatever he wants,
  • We surely bring for him,
  • To gain more affection and love.
  • One day, my son adamantly,
  • Demanded for a match box,
  • We gave him.
  • My wife, by  mistake, left the
  • Gas open,
  • Our son threw the burning match
  • inside the kitchen
  • And ran away
  •  From there to the garden.
  • There was a big blasting sound,
  • We were wonder struck.
  • It was good that we were all
  • In the garden.
  • So no harm was done.
  • Only the walls and things
  • Were damaged.
  • We thanked God,
  • For we were in tact,
  • especially our son.
  • We didn't scold him or beat him.
  • We realized our blunder,
  • And now we are very careful,
  • In giving our son anything
  • He needs.
