Oh!Lady! Oh!Lady!

Were you the born in Italy in 1820?
Were you born to be less comfortable in life?
Were you the one who went to Turkey during the Crimean War 1854-1860?
Were you born to suffer and who didn't care for comforts and started comforting the sick and the wounded ones?
Were you working even in the nights with a lamp in your hand?
Were you the one who started St.Thomas Hospital in London?
Were you the one who left the world in 1910?
Were you the Florence Nightingale? or
Were you" The Famous Lady with the Lamp"?
Oh! You our beloved  Florence Nightingale,
We all remember you  and Our hearty thanks to you
And to your soul wherever you maybe,
We know that you were the pioneer in Nursing.

Ceiling to the Stars

  1. http://www.kidsgen.com/rhymes_and_poems/ceiling_to_the_stars.htm
Up in the sky, where the stars shine bright,
That’s where I will be;
Enjoying the thrills of outer space,
And all there is to see.
A quick trip to Mars,
Is the first place I will go!
Then it’s off to see Saturn’s rings,
And after that, who knows.
Read more at
For now though, I’ll stay put;
Mom said lunch is at noon.
But after that, I’ll take-off;
My ship is in my room.
