- I am the loving dad,
- I am the affectionate mother.
- We all belong to the new generation.
- What we did not get
- From our parents in a big family,
- We wanted to give our only son
- At the young age of seven.
- Whatever he likes,
- Whatever he wants,
- We surely bring for him,
- To gain more affection and love.
- One day, my son adamantly,
- Demanded for a match box,
- We gave him.
- My wife, by mistake, left the
- Gas open,
- Our son threw the burning match
- inside the kitchen
- And ran away
- From there to the garden.
- There was a big blasting sound,
- We were wonder struck.
- It was good that we were all
- In the garden.
- So no harm was done.
- Only the walls and things
- Were damaged.
- We thanked God,
- For we were in tact,
- especially our son.
- We didn't scold him or beat him.
- We realized our blunder,
- And now we are very careful,
- In giving our son anything
- He needs.
